The Challenge

Moreover, the platform had to cater to fluctuating traffic demands, offer data-driven insights for revenue tracking, and ensure that educators had complete control over content delivery—all while being cost-effective and reliable.

Our Approach
We approached the development of Sipsariya.lk with a clear focus on performance, functionality, and usability. The platform was developed using Laravel 11, a robust and scalable framework that enabled the creation of a feature-rich LMS tailored to the teacher’s specific requirements. Hosting the platform on AWS Lightsail ensured reliability and cost-efficiency while leveraging a three-tier architecture to optimize performance.

The payment gateway integration was another critical component. We integrated PayHere, a trusted local payment solution in Sri Lanka, enabling secure and diverse payment options such as bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and mobile wallets. This ensured a smooth transaction process for users enrolling in courses.

Live classes were enabled through direct integration with Zoom.us, allowing students to join online sessions seamlessly. The platform also included a custom notification system powered by Notify, ensuring that users were kept informed about classes, assignments, and important updates through email, SMS, and in-app alerts.

To support the financial aspect of the platform, we developed a revenue analytics system. This feature allowed the educator to monitor income, view transaction histories, and analyze trends to make data-driven decisions.

The design of Sipsariya.lk prioritized accessibility and ease of use. The platform was built with a mobile-first approach, ensuring a flawless user experience across all devices. Students could effortlessly navigate the system to access courses, track progress, and interact with their instructors, while the teacher could manage course content and monitor student performance without technical hurdles.
